  • Only 1% of our original prairies remain.
  • Over 65% of Minnesotans engage in outdoor recreation, yet every year have less places to go.
  • Over 1 million more people will come to Minnesota in the next twenty years, adding pressure to our environment that Minnesota simply is not prepared for.
  • We currently do not have the funding necessary to maintain an adequate wetlands base, reduce flooding, and increase our wildlife diversity.
  • No more than 1% of our state general revenue budget is marked for conservation.
  • The slide and degradation of our habitat, water quality and wildlife continues to grow.
